The Western Australian Government, together with the Federal government, has provided funding for two projects that encourage innovation in urban water management by upgrading infrastructure and protecting urban lakes and waterways. The Urban Waterways Renewal project will upgrade various drains in the Canning and Southern River catchments to form living streams and improve water quality and environmental flows. The project will also develop stormwater management plans and help local governments improve environmental management. The Town of Vincent also received funding to address the declining environmental health and water quality of the Hyde Park Lakes. Read more here. |
