Stormwater WA (SIAWA) and New WAter Ways are proud to announce that in 2015 we will be presenting the 4th Hydropolis Conference - "Towards a Water Sensitive City of 3.5 Million".
The Conference will bring together guest speakers and delegates from some of the leading management, planning and infrastructure organisations to exchange ideas and information about meeting the challenges facing Perth as its population grows towards 3.5 million.
For over 25 years now, since the Western Australian Water Resources Council released a report coining the term Water Sensitive Urban Design the concepts embedded within the term have spread around the world. As Perth looks forward to its future as a city of over 3.5 million people, urban intensification and renewal must accompany and support further urban expansion.
There are many challenges facing our communities and infrastructure as we plan for growth and it is time to refocus and consider the ways that each of us can contribute to a water sensitive future for Perth.
The Conference will be spread over two full days, including presentations from a wide range of community and industry spokespeople on building a water sensitive city of 3.5 million people. We encourage you to participate in this event by presenting or sponsoring the 2015 Conference.
