Upgrade to Busselton wastewater treatment plant PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 June 2010 17:35
The State Government will start building a $23million upgrade of Busselton's wastewater treatment plant in December with works expected to be finished by mid-2012.
The works will include new 'oxidation ditch' technology to reduce the nutrient concentration of treated wastewater by half, compared to the current facility. This ensures that there will be no increase in nutrient load leaving the upgraded plant, which will continue to be regulated under currently approved licence limits.
