Mission

to conduct research that contributes to the understanding and improved management of our land and water resources with particular reference to the impact of human activity, to provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing professional education that will equip students and professional to work effectively on geoscience-related issues, to provide high-level consultancy services to both government and non-government agencies involved in the management of our land and water resources, andto promote awareness within the community and amongst professionals of the value of understanding of geoscience through publication, professional short courses, exchange programs, and other means as appropriate.
